The Miami Dolphins have had two star wide receivers listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s Week 5 game against the New York Jets, but there’s an encouraging update on that injury front.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports on Saturday night that Miami wide receivers Tyreek Hill (quad injury) and Jaylen Waddle (groin injury) “are expected to play vs. the Jets barring any pregame setbacks, per sources.”

With Tua Tagovailoa out (due to a concussion that led to a joint investigation between the NFL and NFLPA, which led to amended concussion protocols), Miami needs all the skill-position talent they can have to help out backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on the road vs. the Jets.

Hill has been every bit as electrifying with the Dolphins as he was with the Kansas City Chiefs, reeling in 31 passes for 477 yards (15.4 AVG) and two touchdowns over four games played.

Waddle has shown why Miami used the No. 6 overall pick of the 2021 Draft to select him, putting together a line of 21 catches for 381 yards (18.1 AVG) and three touchdowns this season.

Hill and Waddle are dynamic talents that offer the ability to use remarkable quickness and speed to create a home run on any play, from any part of the field. Containing one player like this is hard enough for an opposing defense, so having to deal with two players like this is a nightmare for a defense.

The Dolphins are 3-1 and enter Sunday as 3.5-point road favorites vs the Jets.
