This season, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has emerged as a legitimate MVP contender, leading his team to a 12-1 record, already clinching a playoff spot. He’s been extremely successful this season, but Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons doesn’t seem totally convinced of his greatness just yet.

During an appearance on Von Miller‘s podcast “The Voncast,” Jalen Hurts’ name came up during a conversation and Micah Parsons questioned whether it was Hurts or the Philadelphia Eagles team that was responsible for their great season so far.

“Is it Hurts or the team?” Parsons asked. Miller suggested that it was “both,” but Parsons didn’t seem too sure.

You can see the entire exchange here:

Parsons knows that the matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles is drawing near, and he claims he didn’t make the comments to cause controversy or make any enemies. He just couldn’t help but say something.

“Yeah, it’s coming up,” he said. “I’m not trying to make no enemies. I just love the game so much. And I understand it so much that, like, I can’t— when things are off, I just can’t hold it in. I almost gotta say something.”

The Cowboys play the Eagles on Christmas Eve.
