The NFL on Fox broadcast of the Atlanta Falcons-New Orleans Saints game Sunday took an unexpected graphical turn, with a superimposed Michigan State Spartans logo showing up on the field while Atlanta running back Devonta Freeman was pushing for extra yardage:

The Spartans do play Washington State in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl on FS1 Thursday, so perhaps some graphics packages were being worked up for that and someone hit the wrong button. But that’s not as much fun as the conspiracy theories:
Michigan State plays in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 28
28-3 = 25

The 10-4 Saints led the 9-5 Falcons 3-0 after the first quarter in a game with big implications for the NFC South title and the playoff hunt. If Atlanta goes on to lose, perhaps this is a Sparty, No! moment in its own right. Or someone should go tell the Spartans that here their logo lies.
