It’s been no secret to anybody watching the Pittsburgh Steelers at all this season that the team’s offense has not been very strong, even despite the team switching quarterbacks from veteran quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to rookie Kenny Pickett. With no real improvements on offense so far this season, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been asked about potential changes to the coaching staff, but he’s not ready to do that.
During his press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Mike Tomlin was asked why he does not see this as a time to make changes to the offensive coaching staff, potentially firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada. And according to Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor of ESPN’s NFL Nation, Tomlin had quite a blunt response.
Tomlin's said he's open to making changes if it'll help the offense — so why is now NOT the time for Mike Tomlin to make a change in his offense?
Tomlin: "Because I don't feel like I'm there."

“Because I don’t feel like I’m there,” Tomlin said, according to Pryor.
It’s understandably a frustrating response to the question for Steelers fans, given that the team has just nine offensive touchdowns in seven games so far this season. As a result, the NFL world absolutely blasted Tomlin for his comments.
I get that people are mad about this, but it's highly likely that Canada finishes the season before he's canned. If you can him now, it's still probably the same offense for the rest of the season. https://t.co/LvqMPGjo4n

While i disagree i think we all need to realize that Canada is probably going to finish either most or da rest of this SZN cause iont get how 2 years of trash offense makes you say “im not there yet” https://t.co/04V29GH8R1

The whole offense if not the team has given up on Matt Canada. What else does he need to see?? https://t.co/4GnjlK3h1q

Despite the atrocious offensive performance this season, the Steelers managed to beat two teams that made NFL playoff runs last season, beating the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
