It’s not exactly a secret to most NFL fans that the Minnesota Vikings are one of the 12 teams in the league that have never won a Super Bowl title, but those fans might not be aware of just how unlikely that is given how successful the team has been during the regular season.

This week, the NFL on CBS official Twitter account pulled out a wild stat comparing franchise win percentages with Super Bowl victories. The results are generally what one would expect – the teams with the higher overall win percentages have the most Super Bowl victories. But there is one major exception: the Minnesota Vikings.

Even though the Vikings have the third-best win percentage in the entire NFL over the Super Bowl era, the team has not won a single Super Bowl. The 13 other teams with the best win percentages in the league have all won multiple Super Bowls, but the Vikings haven’t even won one.

“The Vikings have been one of the best regular season teams over the years… however,” NFL on CBS said in a tweet, adding a nervous emoji.

It’s definitely not great news for the Vikings, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it as a result.

We’ll have to see if the Vikings can buck this trend in the coming years.
