Urban Meyer

While Urban Meyer is the central figure in this past weekend’s viral videos and photos that made the rounds, there’s another person involved. The young woman who was pictured dancing and posing with the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach at Urban Chophouse has also had to watch her image spread across the internet like wildfire and that kind of thing has a real impact on someone’s emotional wellbeing.

The mother of the 24-year-old woman spoke with USA Today and said she is worried about her daughter’s wellbeing.

“(She) can’t even go anywhere,” she said. “It’s ruining her life is what it’s doing. I’m worried for her emotional status right now.”

USA Today also spoke with the woman’s employer, which said it is conducting an internal investigation into the incident. The woman is still employed by the company, which is not in a position “to make any determination as to her (employment) status,” said Brian Duncan, an attorney representing the company.

“We’ve had no prior issues with her whatsoever,” said Duncan. “She’s been a very solid asset to the company. We’re going to undertake our internal investigation to determine what, if any, impact this has on the company and we’ll proceed accordingly.”

Duncan noted that the company, a marketing agency, has worked with Urban Chophouse, but they do not believe the woman had a previous relationship with Meyer.

“I just pray that Alex [Cruz, owner of the marketing agency] doesn’t fire my daughter because she needs this job,” the mother said. “She just bought a house.”
