Earlier this week, NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp called top 2017 NFL Draft prospect Myles Garrett ‘lazy.’ Garrett’s mom didn’t take that lightly and has fired back at the seven-time Pro Bowler.

A couple days ago, Sapp told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that when he watches tape of Garrett, he sees “a lazy kid that makes four plays a game”:

“I see a lazy kid that makes four plays a game. This is the No. 1 guy? No, no, no. This ain’t even close.”

“I don’t see it from this kid. I see the splash plays; everybody gets those. Where’s the game he took over? Where? Any defensive lineman who’s the No. 1 pick, you turn up and you say, ‘There it is!’ This kid, no, I don’t. I’m a pretty plain and frank guy, and I watch the tape and he disappears. I watch the tape, and he absolutely disappears.”

On Thursday, Garrett was reading a question someone asked him about Sapp out loud and his mom was nearby. Then, this happened…

Garrett: “What’s your response to Warren Sapp’s comments? (Shrug) I’m…”

Garrett’s mom: “Is he still relevant? Oh.”

Garrett: “Dang mother.”

The best part of this entire video is probably Garrett’s mom’s comment, but at the same time it may tie with Garrett’s reaction to his mom’s comments.

It’s really hard to beat that. It’s nearly a Jim Halpert reaction face to a Michael Scott comment.

Sapp was the 12th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1995 and Garrett is almost guaranteed to be a higher pick than him on Thursday night. If Garrett is picked higher than 12th, he can hold that over Sapp’s head. After that he’ll just have to win more more Super Bowls, be named to more Pro Bowls and AP First Teams, and become a Hall of Famer to say Sapp is overrated compared to him.
