The Cleveland Browns are one of the most troubled franchises in NFL history. The Browns have yet to win a Super Bowl and are still in the middle of what seems to be an endless pursuit for a franchise quarterback.
On the bright side for Cleveland, the Browns struck gold when they drafted Myles Garrett, who is one of the best defensive players in the league every season. Unfortunately, Garrett has a past marred by a violent incident in which he swung Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph’s helmet at him on the field.
The expectation would be that Garrett has learned from this incident, but now he is using violent language toward the Steelers’ newest quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, according to one team insider.
“Myles Garrett on Aaron Rodgers joining the AFC North: ‘I think it’s a good opportunity to put him in the graveyard,'” ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi reported on Tuesday.
Fans reacted to the shocking statement on social media.
“I’m all for sacks and TFLs, but on-field murder is probably a bridge too far, even for the NFL,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Not to be dramatic, but if I was Aaron Rodgers and Myles Garrett said this I think I would retire on the spot,” someone else added.
“consider me a browns fan now lol,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens when the two face each other for the first time.
