After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss on Thursday to the Baltimore Ravens, there are whispers around the league that maybe Tom Brady should have stayed retired.

Brady and the Bucs are now 3-5 on the season after starting the year undefeated. They have struggled not only offensively but also defensively, which was supposed to be a strong hold on this team.

This is the worst that a Tom Brady team has looked this far into a season in his entire career and a lot of it falls on him. That’s why ormer NFL player and Good Morning Football co-host Nate Burleson said on the NFL’s Network “Good Morning Football” that Brady made a mistake coming back.

“Tom should’ve retired,” the former wide receiver said. “Am I the only one thinking it? Here’s the thing: we’ve been praising Tom Brady for 20 years and said that he’s the GOAT, the greatest quarterback that ever played, put him in the conversation with the greats across all of sports. It’s okay to have some criticism.”

Brady and his wife announced their divorce this week, which many have felt has contributed to his problems on the field. Burelson said Brady just seems off, unlike in previous years.

“It’s a combination of things,” Burleson said. “The rhythm isn’t there. The juice isn’t there. And he just doesn’t look like the Tom Brady of old — he looks like an older Tom Brady

Maybe age and off-the-field issues have finally caught up to Tom Brady.
