Former first-round pick Jalen Reagor has had a rough start to his NFL career, failing to reach the expectations that come with his draft selection. He has now found a new home in hopes that he can revitalize his thus far lackluster career.
Reagor was selected with the No. 21 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, famously one pick before All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson was taken. Reagor only lasted two years with the Philaldelphia Eagles, while Jefferson is widely regarded as one of the best wide receivers in all of football.
After two years with the Eagles, they traded him to the Minnesota Vikings. And things didn’t exactly go to plan, as he didn’t start any games last season.
Reagor was recently a casuality of the Vikings roster cuts, meaning he will now be on his third team in just 3 years in the NFL. And he will reportedly do so under Bill Belichick with the New England Patriots, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Former Vikings’ WR Jalen Reagor, who cleared waivers today, is signing with the Patriots’ practice squad, per source. The Patriots play the Eagles in Week 1, and Reagor will be a candidate to be promoted for the game.

Reagor will join the Patriots practice squad, and will likely be a prime candidate to be promoted to the active roster should they suffer any injuries early on in the season.
It will also be interesting to see if the Patriots give him a chance on the active roster for Week 1. They will be facing Reagor’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, a game that would certainly mean a lot for Reagor should he be activated.
