On Thursday morning, the New York Giants unveiled a new throwback-style uniform to commemorate their 100th season. But unfortunately for the team, it sounds like the uniforms are wildly unpopular with NFL fans.

The team announced their “Century Red” uniform on Thursday, which the team will wear for up to two games in 2024. The throwback-style uniform features a blue and red winged helmet, a red jersey is divided by a thick blue stripe underneath white numbers, tan pants, and a pair of red and blue striped socks.

“The uniform harkens back to the earliest days of the franchise and features tan pants; red socks with blue and white stripes from the team’s inaugural 1925 season; red jerseys accented with blue from 1933, when the Giants played in the first ever NFL Championship Game; and an iconic winged helmet honoring the 1938 champions as the Giants became a cornerstone in the foundation of the league,” the team said in a release.

Unfortunately for the team, the uniforms got absolutely blasted on social media as most fans absolutely hated the throwback look.

The good news for fans who dislike the look is that they will not be worn more than twice this upcoming season.
