For the second time in a week, a Skip Bayless tweet about Damar Hamlin is going viral on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.

After the Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots Sunday, Bayless tweeted, “Happy for the Bills. Rooting for them. But hard to get too excited about the outcome of a football game. As I said again and again on Monday night, all that matters is Damar Hamlin. Prayed for him immediately on Monday night then for his complete recovery this Sunday morning.”

That tweet stands in sharp contrast to one Bayless sent out Monday night, literally while medical workers were still tending to Hamlin after the Bills safety suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed during the “Monday Night Football” game.

Bayless tweeted, “No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game — but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”

Twitter erupted at Bayless’ tweet last Monday, with athletes, media, fans, everyone blasting him for being concerned about the game under the circumstances.

Things didn’t get any easier for him on Wednesday, when his FS1 co-host Shannon Sharpe ripped him for the tweet. Incredibly, Bayless stood by his original stance.

And Fox Sports NFL analyst Michael Strahan also appeared to call out Bayless Sunday, without mentioning him by name.

Although Bayless appears to have had a change of heart about his original tweet, the Internet is forever, and fans have not forgotten what he said just a few days ago.

“Michael Strahan called you out today on national TV. You know exactly what you did that night,” tweeted David Gokhshtein.

“Massive spin by Skip Bayless!” tweeted Brian DeLuca.

“We ain’t forgetting your tweet old man,” tweeted Drip Bayless, a parody account.

“You already trashed your career from the one tweet… You should lose your job and never be able to be on TV again,” tweeted TJK Cards.

“Talk about overcompensating,” tweeted a fan.
