After last year’s off-season Hard Knocks of the New York Giants, NFL insiders are skeptical of letting cameras back into their locker rooms.
“There was no offseason version of Hard Knocks this year, largely because it was too successful and too insightful for its own good.” writes Matt Yoder of Awful Announcing.
VP and Head of Content Keith Crossrow added, “The 2024 offseason ‘Hard Knocks” was a spectacular success. One of the best, and most interesting, and most surprising shows we’ve ever made.”
So why haven’t any of the other 31 teams agreed on another off-season HK deal?
“It was the social media clips foreshadowing their regret at letting RB Saquon Barkley leave for the Eagles…It’s funny, we all want to go viral, right? Not for the wrong reasons, but it’s a measure of success in the world we live in today. But it can also go in directions that nobody can predict,” said Crossrow.
The poisonous bite of today’s media ultimately had its way with New York as clips still linger on the web.
The front office has not recovered from being the butt of the joke, as the Giants are projected to be at the bottom of the totem pole for yet another season.
