After giving out fines to player after player for wearing custom-made cleats, the NFL finally caved and allowed players one week to wear custom cleats for various causes.
The results have been a number of great-looking cleats designated for different causes. As far as we know, more than 500 custom-made cleats have made their way on the field during week 13. Here are a few of the ones we liked the best.

But for as many custom cleats have been for noteworthy causes, some players have just decided to wear custom cleats for the heck of it. Let’s start with Jalen Ramsey.

Then, there was Dorial Green-Beckham.

With the NFL so focused on charity, it doesn’t seem that far to find cleats that would be designed for a good cause. I’m all for NFL players getting as much freedom as possible. But for me, the moves by Landry and Green-Beckham seem pretty tone-deaf.
