Throughout the NFL season, we’ll be ranking the top 10 rookies in the league based on their progress. Here’s the breakdown following Week 4.

10. Cleveland Browns CB Greg Newsome II: The No. 26 overall pick missed Week 4 but gave up only five completions in his first three games.

9. Green Bay Packers C Josh Myers: The top-rated qualified pass-blocking interior offensive linemen at Pro Football Focus has given up just one quarterback hit and has yet to be penalized.

8. New England Patriots QB Mac Jones: It hasn’t been a good year for rookie quarterbacks, but the No. 15 overall pick has been pretty strong overall. Four touchdowns, four picks, a pair of triple-digit-rated games, and the Pats are 2-2. He’ll just need to become more consistent.

7. Baltimore Ravens edge Odafe Oweh: The No. 31 overall pick had another sack and two more quarterback hits in Week 4. He’s off to an extremely encouraging and disruptive start.

6. Denver Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II: The ninth overall selection has surrendered just 14 completions on 24 attempts and a 76.9 passer rating in coverage. He also has an interception.

5. Los Angeles Chargers CB Asante Samuel Jr.: No four-game starter at cornerback has surrendered a lower passer rating than the second-round Florida State product (21.5), and he also has two picks.

4. Dallas Cowboys LB Micah Parsons: The No. 12 overall pick is up to 2.5 sacks, 17 tackles, and a pair of passes defensed.

3. Los Angeles Chargers OT Rashawn Slater: The No. 13 overall pick isn’t responsible for a single sack, and he’s taken just one penalty on Justin Herbert’s blind side. He has the top pass-blocking grade among qualified rookies at Pro Football Focus.

2. Kansas City Chiefs C Creed Humphrey: Only Jason Kelce and Frank Ragnow have higher PFF grades at the center position than the second-round rook.

1. Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase: Four touchdowns in four games for the new centerpiece for the Bengals offense. He also ranks 13th among all receivers with 297 yards.
