Tuesday brought some unfortunate news regarding Buffalo Bills co-owner and president Kim Pegula.

Pegula co-owns the Bills with her husband Terry Pegula. A statement from the Pegula family Tuesday said she is currently receiving medical care following some unforeseen health issues. Here’s how ESPN’s Adam Schefter relayed that:

The Pegula family purchased the Bills in 2014 after previously becoming owners of the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres in 2011. This news of unexpected health issues for Kim Pegula has many around the NFL world offering their support for the family during this difficult time.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott also commented on the matter, detailing what the Pegula family has done for him and calling their ownership the best in the NFL at the moment.

By all accounts, Kim Pegula is an extremely valued member of not only the Bills and Sabres organizations, but also the wider Western New York community. She currently sits on the NFL’s workplace diversity committee, and also played a big role in Buffalo’s community response following the tragic shooting that resulted in the death of ten people at a grocery store last month.

We can only hope that everything turns out all right for the Pegula family during this difficult time.
