On the opening drive of the Kansas City Chiefs-Los Angeles Chargers game, we got a reminder that football can be exciting but it can also be a dangerous game where players can get seriously hurt.
On 4th and goal, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert unleashed a pass to tight end Donald Parham Jr.. Parham wasn’t able to catch the ball and in the process of attempting the catch, fell hard to the ground. Things got scary when it appeared that Parham was knocked out and was laying motionless. With medical crews careful about moving Parham, he showed some movement in his arms and legs but left the field on a stretcher as the public awaits an update on his condition.
Many on social media sent their well wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts to Parham as everyone is hopeful his injuries aren’t as serious as it originally looked.
Looked like Parham was knocked out when he hit his head on the ground. Eesh. Hoping he's OK

Very scary play with Donald Parham Jr. who went to the ground trying to make a touchdown catch and slammed his head onto the turf.
The way he seemed frozen on the ground is really concerning.
He has since moved his hands and his legs, thank God.

Very sad and scary stuff. Tough to watch Parham on the stretcher like that. I hope we hear good news soon.

Scary scene on that field right now.
Players put their livelihood on the line every time they step in between those lines. Prayers up for Donald Parham— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) December 17, 2021
It must be so tough to go out and play right away after seeing the way Donald Parham had to leave the field.
Teammates seemed noticeably shaken up. That was brutal.
Hoping he will be okay.
