Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Noah Brown had the best season of his career last season in Dallas. However, he made the decision to stay in the state and sign with the Houston Texans. Brown hasn’t spent much time in Houston, but already had some bold praise for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Stroud comes to the Texans with a ton of expectations after being selected by the organization as the No. 2 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. According to Brown, Stroud seems to be living up to every bit of it.

Brown spoke about what he has seen from Stroud this offseason, saying that he has already picked up the playbook extremely quickly.

“I know C.J. has great arm talent,” said Brown via Coty Davis of Sports Illustrated. “The little bit of time I’ve been here working with him, he’s picked up the offense fast, taken ownership of his reps. I think that can only lead to positive things.”

He then spoke about how he stacks up against Dak Prescott, where he boldly said that he believes Stroud can be as good or better than him.

“They’re both great quarterbacks — great arm talent,” Brown added. “That’s a great class to be in. I think he has all the potential to live up to that, maybe even surpass it. So, you know, I’m rooting for C.J. and I’m willing to have his back on anything.”

Stroud still has plenty to prove once it comes time to actually take the field against other NFL teams. But it seems like he is definitely seen to be as good as anticipated by his teammates.
