Odell Beckham Jr. is known for occasionally embellishing an on-field injury, but today’s was all-too severe.
Beckham Jr. was carted off after suffering what some reports have deemed a broken leg and/or ankle:
Odell Beckham is headed for surgery, per source. He injured his leg in the fourth quarter.

I’m told #NYG believe Odell Beckham Jr has broken fibula. Not sure if there is any ligament damage. Will have MRI.

Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. fractured his ankle. He could have surgery but no decision yet.

The apparent conflict in those last two tweets might not actually be a conflict; the fibula does connect to the ankle, after all. It might just be a matter of medical semantics; clearly there’s a fracture in his lower leg area. Here’s the play in question, and if you’re squeamish it’s probably best to not watch:

Yikes. Hopefully Beckham Jr. makes a full recovery, although it’s likely too late for this season anyway; the Giants are now 0-5, and along with Beckham, plenty of other receivers have been injured as well:
Giants lost WRs Odell Beckham JR, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard to injury today.

What a disastrous season for the New York Giants.
