Many athletes are motivated by the idea of not being good enough, or people telling them that they aren’t good enough.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. found his inspiration that way, after taking offense to an NFL ranking. The NFL Top-100 player poll had Beckham at No. 10, which was a 22-spot improvement from last season. Pretty good right?

Not for Beckham.

But there was more than just the tweet. Beckham was so upset over his ranking, that he posted a video on Instagram at 3 a.m., heading outside preparing to workout.

The NFL Top-100 is a fun poll for fans, and surely some players enjoy it. But this might not be the last time we hear about this particular year’s ranking from Beckham, who is undoubtedly one of the NFL’s best players, and arguably the league’s best receiver.
