Earlier this week, it was reported that star free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was in the New York Giants team facilities for “a little visit,” starting speculation that the receiver could be looking to re-join the team that drafted him in the first round back in 2014.

While the Giants haven’t made any formal announcements, they certainly aren’t denying that Beckham could re-join the squad.

This week, New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll was asked if he would shut down any speculation that the team could be interested in signing Beckham. He certainly did not do that, leaving the door open for Beckham to potentially join the roster.

“I’d say that Joe and I talk a lot about a wide variety of things: players, adding players, workouts on Mondays and Tuesdays,” Daboll said, according to Leonard. “We’re always trying to improve our roster in any way we can.”

This led to quite a few reactions from the NFL world.

Beckham Jr. hasn’t played for any NFL team since suffering an ACL injury during the Los Angels Rams‘ Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last year. He is currently a free agent. However, despite the perceived interest in the Giants, New York was not among the five teams reportedly favored to sign the former All-Pro receiver.
