Star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is still a free agent after suffering an ACL injury during the Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl win. As he nears full health, the veteran receiver has seemed to show interest in several NFL teams, but a potential return to the New York Giants seems to be one of the most likely options. And according to injured Giants receiver Sterling Shephard, both sides are very interested.

Shephard, who is good friends with Odell Beckham Jr., revealed that Beckham would “love” to be in New York, but that “everything has to play out” if that’s going to happen.

“I talk to him every day, but we don’t talk about [his decision] too much,” Shepard said, according to the New York Daily News. “Obviously he knows that we want him here. He would love to be here. But everything has to play out for that to happen. There’s a whole bunch of intangibles that have to play out for him to be here. And I understand that. This is a business, and his business has gotta be right for him to do it.”

While the Giants are in pursuit of OBJ, the Dallas Cowboys have also caused quite a stir in their relentless pursuit of OBJ, as well. With those two teams appearing to be in a “coin flip” to land Beckham, he is planning to visit both teams after Thanksgiving.
