Will Aaron Rodgers decide to stay with the Green Bay Packers or will he ask to be traded for a fresh start?

That’s the question everyone is waiting to get an answer to. But if you ask Packers reporter Matt Schneidman, we already pretty much know the answer.

Schneidman, who covers Green Bay for The Athletic, knows the beat well and has even had some playful interactions with the quarterback, implying a sense that he’s well-entrenched with the organization. In his latest piece for The Athletic, the reporter cuts through a lot of the rumors and reports to get at the heart of the situation, which is that all signs point to Rodgers returning to the Packers next season.

“It seems to be the worst-kept secret here at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine that Rodgers isn’t going anywhere,” wrote Schneidman. “Not the Broncos or any other team. Not retirement, either. Though the back-to-back MVP has yet to officially declare his intentions, it seems inevitable that he’ll be in a Packers uniform next season and beyond, however long that ends up being.”

He did add the caveat on Twitter that anything is possible, but he’s reading the tea leaves and they seem to tell him that it’s very unlikely Rodgers plays anywhere else next season.

Of course, Rodgers won’t officially be back until he’s officially back. He’s promised to announce his decision soon so we can expect to know one way or another in the coming days. Until then, Packers fans are hoping for the best. They can look to Instagram for answers in the meantime.
