Reports out of the Green Bay Packers camp say that the team is planning on cutting one of quarterback Aaron Rodgers‘s favorite new wide receivers. Juwann Winfree has received high praise from the quarterback throughout training camp but that doesn’t seem to be enough to keep him on the team.

Rodgers, who recently criticize his new wide receivers, had good things to say about Winfree and the impression he made.

“I will say, between 88 and 87, there’s been a lot of positive things that make you feel good about the depth we could have in that room,” he said.

This news probably won’t make Rodgers happy considering he has already lost friend and teammate Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason and has been having a difficult time this pre-season trying to find his replacement.

Although he still has several potential receivers to fill that support such as veteran Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, and Sammy Watkins, not to mention rookie Romeo Doubs and second-round pick Christian Watson.

Adams and Rodgers were a deadly combination last season, which helped the quarterback earn his second-consecutive NFL MVP award. Now that Adams is gone, Rodgers is going to have to find a new top target quick or it’s going to be a long season for him and the Pack.
