The Green Bay Packers know that they’ll need all of their pieces available to stay competitive in the NFC North. Last year, the division sent three teams to the NFL playoffs, and the only team that missed out on playoff action, the Chicago Bears, is sure to improve with the arrival of former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as the franchise’s new head coach.

Unfortunately, Green Bay is already dealing with a host of injuries to key pieces as training camp gets underway, according to one prominent league insider.

“The #Packers placed WR Christian Watson and LB Quay Walker on the active/physically unable to perform list and OL Elgton Jenkins on the non-football injury list. They all can be activated anytime,” reported NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Friday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Seriously, and nothing personal, but it’s time to move on from Watson…. Quay is in a prove it year now, hope I don’t think the same about him as I do Watson next year,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“We must have some casual fans to not know Christian Watson tore his ACL at the end of the season. He will probably be ready before mid season,” someone else wrote.

“Christian Watson injured, a tale as old as time,” one fan added.

Hopefully, the Packers get healthier sooner rather than later.
