The Carolina Panthers are taking on the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football, and the NFL world has taken notice of the Panthers’ new “blackout” uniforms on display for the game.

Carolina revealed the uniforms earlier this week, which got a lot of attention. Once they were on display during Thursday night’s game, even more people took notice.

It is an extremely clean look for the Panthers, showing almost an entirely blacked-out uniform with accents of Carolina blue and a matte-black helmet (which can be seen in this Panthers highlight).

These jerseys may bring some sort of excitement amongst Panthers fans, who have not had all that much to cheer about this far this season.

They currently sit at just 2-7 on the season and sit in last place in a struggling NFC South division.

The Falcons and Panthers met just two weeks ago, which was a wild affair that resulted in a 37-34 overtime victory for Atlanta.

Carolina notoriously had a real chance to win that game in regulation before Panthers star wide receiver D.J. Moore received a penalty for taking his helmet after scoring a last-second touchdown.

This led to a longer extra-point attempt for Panthers kicker Eddy Piñeiro to potentially win the game, which he would go on to miss.

Carolina is looking for redemption for that game in style on Thursday with its new uniforms that seem to be a hit around the NFL world.
