Last year, the Carolina Panthers embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys by the score of 33-14 at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving, which gave the Panthers an 11-0 record on the season.

Surely all of the Panthers fans in attendance had a great time at the game. Well, all of them except one.

This fan is suing the Cowboys and their stadium security company for $25,000 after he was basically put in a chokehold by security. Said lawsuit claims the fan was attending the game with his mother and brought a homemade sign that read “11-0”. After it became clear the Panthers were going to go 11-0 at the expense of the hometown team, he held up the sign and was told by security to sit down, but the fan refused because, “Mr. Small’s behavior, while enthusiastic, was not disruptive.”

More, from the lawsuit:

“Mr. Small was already in the aisle walking toward the exit when a member of the security team hit him in the back. This blow caused Mr. Small to stumble slightly, and then the security team member came up behind Mr. Small, and wrapped his arm around Mr. Small’s neck from the back, bending his elbow and tightening his arm to create a chokehold.”

The video certainly doesn’t look good for the Cowboys or their security staff. NFL security procedures have been questioned of late, including how to deal with opposing fans inside stadium’s, and the scrutiny will grow even louder after watching that video and reading the lawsuit.
