Tonight, the Rams will officially be back in Los Angeles. They are facing the Dallas Cowboys and are expecting over 90,000 people for a preseason game. If you thought that was outrageous, wait until you see the outrageous parking prices near the LA Memorial Coliseum.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted a pic from a parking lot nearby the LA Memorial Coliseum stating that people are being charged $80 to park.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell found a lot similar to Schefter that charged $80.

But it seems ESPN’s Shelley Smith beat out both Schefter and Rovell and found a lot that is charging $100.

I get that it’s Los Angeles and everything is more expensive in LA. And I get that this is the first NFL game in LA in decades so demand is high but this is highway robbery. $100 or even $80 to park isn’t even justified for a regular season NFL game, much less a preseason game.

Maybe the people of Los Angeles should look for other sports to get some more bang for their buck. For instance, head out to Carson for an MLS game and watch Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard and USMNT’s Gyasi Zardes with the LA Galaxy  take on the Vancouver Whitecaps on the 27th. Cheapest ticket is $25 each, you can buy tickets for a family of four for the same price as you would have just to park near the Coliseum and see the Rams and Cowboys starters play for a few minutes. And by the way, you still need to pay for tickets to the game.
