The Pat McAfee Show had made it very clear that they aren’t interested in playing by the old rules now that they have a deal with ESPN.

We were reminded of that on Friday when show producer Ty Schmit let Detroit Lions fans know exactly how he feels.

While the first two hours of The Pat McAfee Show are broadcast on ESPN, the last hour is YouTube-only, which means the cast of characters on the show can get even looser with their language (even though there have been plenty of F-bombs during the ESPN portion as well).

The 2024 NFL Draft is being held in Detroit and Pat and his crew are broadcasting live from there. During Friday’s show, a gaggle of Lions fans gathered right outside the studio to let everyone know that the “Packers suck.” As that change got louder, Schmit, an avowed Green Bay Packers fan, couldn’t help but respond. He turned to the crowd and yelled, at the top of his lungs, “Hey, F*** THE LIONS, AND F*** DETROIT! YOU GUYS ARE GONNA BE CHANTING HENDON HOOKER IN TWO YEARS. F*** OFF!”

While some Lions fans kept their chant going, that did seem to diffuse things for a little bit. However, Lions fans came back pretty strong, causing Schmit to do the same.

Let it never be said that Schmit doesn’t keep it real with Lions fans.
