Trouble in paradise for the Kansas City Chiefs? Maybe. It appears that during Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy were arguing, or at least had a deep discussion on the sideline, following the last play of the first half.

Mahomes, who seems fairly laidback most of the time, appears to be trying to explain something to Bieniemy, who didn’t seem to want to hear whatever Mahomes was trying to say.

The conversation appeared to be getting so heated, that head coach Andy Reid had to step in and lead Mahomes away.

Who knows what was said, but the media is sure to ask Mahomes what was going on between the two. It’s rare to see Mahomes emotional or angry at anything.

He is normally a cool customer but whatever that was being said, neither party seemed to be happy with the other. It may have something to do with the fact that the Chiefs offense hasn’t been dominant against the Colts.

The Colts, who hadn’t won a game so far this year, gave the Chiefs all they can handle Sunday and eventually won, 20-17, adding to Mahomes frustrations. It also doesn’t help that he finished 20 of 35 for 262 yards with one touchdown and one interception, pretty pedestrian stats for him.
