While Patrick Mahomes is preparing to defend his Super Bowl title with the Kansas City Chiefs, his brother Jackson Mahomes is dealing with some legal troubles after he was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery following an alleged incident in February, but Patrick Mahomes doesn’t really want to talk about it.

During a press conference at Kansas City Chiefs OTAs this week, Mahomes was asked about Jackson Mahomes’ ongoing legal troubles, and he declined to talk about it.

“Honestly, it’s kind of a personal thing that I just kind of gotta keep to myself,” Mahomes said when speaking to reporters Wednesday at Chiefs OTAs, according to Fox News.

Mahomes made it clear that while his brother and his family is important to him, his focus is currently on playing football.

“At the end of the day, I come here to play football and try to take care of my family at the same time,” Mahomes said. “So just kind of keep it to myself and just go out there and play football when I’m in the building.”

According to the criminal complaint, Jackson Mahomes “unlawfully and feloniously touch[ed] the person of another … who did not consent to the touching” and “unlawfully and knowingly cause[d] physical contact with another person … done in a rude, insulting, or angry manner.”

He was released on a $100,000 bond.
