Just days before Super Bowl LV, the Kansas City Chiefs had a COVID scare as the team barber was found to have tested positive for COVID-19 while giving haircuts to Chiefs players and staff. Once the positive test was known, the barber was immediately stopped right in the middle of giving center Daniel Kilgore his haircut while he and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. They can play if they return negative test results through Saturday.
Even though two Chiefs players came in close contact with the barber, it could’ve been much worse. It was reported that over 20 Chiefs players and staff were supposed to get their hair cut and that included Patrick Mahomes. If that positive test had come a few hours later, the Chiefs would’ve been decimated and either lost the Super Bowl or the game would’ve been delayed.
What was strange was that in a roundabout way, Mahomes kind of called this. Before last year’s Super Bowl, Jimmy Kimmel had a segment on his show where NFL players read mean tweets about themselves. We’ll have to give a bit of leeway because this was right before the pandemic but Mahomes read a very interesting mean tweet concerning his barber.
Whoa this is weird… @PatrickMahomes #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/mmtvLqQVd3

Is this an exact match? No, not really. But it was still rather eerie that Mahomes not only read a tweet about his barber but it had to do with his barber stopping mid-haircut. The superhero thing, yeah I don’t have anything for that it was way off what really happened. Despite that, it was somewhat close.
