The 2025 season went nearly as poorly as possible for the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did Kansas City fail to win the AFC West for the first time in nine seasons, but the Chiefs didn’t make the playoffs at all.
To make matters worse, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes went down with an ACL injury that may affect his availability for the start of the upcoming campaign. Luckily, Mahomes was able to keep his head up despite the brutal injury.
“Don’t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it’s hurts. But all we can do now is Trust in God and attack every single day over and over again. Thank you Chiefs kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I Will be back stronger than ever,” Mahomes tweeted in the face of the injury.
It appears that Mahomes held true to his word about attacking every day, as he looked to be ahead of schedule in his recovery in a clip of him throwing the football 100 days after the surgery that has gone viral.

Fans reacted to the clip on social media.
“That’s the Mahomes we know — attacking rehab like it’s a 4th-quarter comeback. 100 days in and already dropping back clean? Chiefs fans breathing easy. Week 1 loading,” one fan worte on Twitter.
“Almost looks ready to under throw a wide open deep receiver by 10 yards,” one fan joked.
“Good. We want him nice and healthy for bills chiefs week 1, it wouldn’t feel right to beat the chiefs without him there,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Mahomes looks in his return to the field.
