The New England Patriots are hoping that new head coach Mike Vrabel and young quarterback Drake Maye will work together to establish a winning culture that will endure for decades, similar to the one created by Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.

However, one member of the Patriots is looking to establish his own culture within the organization, and it’s clear he’s pushing back against liberal trends.

“The pussification of America,” wideout Mack Hollins said of his decision to go barefoot. “People are so soft now. Like bro, do something hard for once. It’s not even hard to wear no shoes… walking into games, no matter what, I have to be barefoot.”

Fans reacted to Hollins’ statement on social media.

“FYI, if you are offended by this he is talking about you. I always thought it was strange that he didn’t wear shoes but now it makes sense. I know people that wake up and take cold showers just so the rest of their day is easy,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“The funniest out come now would be if his foot got infected from something he stepped on and they had to cut it off,” another fan added.

“I don’t even disagree with what he says here, it just makes no sense in the context of him not wearing shoes,” someone else added.

Hopefully, Hollins’ tough guy persona shows up between the lines as well.
