The New England Patriots are officially in the Drake Maye, Mike Vrabel era, which the franchise is hoping is even a fraction as successful as the Tom Brady, Bill Belichick one was in New England.

In order to surround Maye with the pieces he needs to be successful, the Patriots added veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs this offseason. Diggs is recovering from an ACL injury that ended his season with the Houston Texans prematurely last year.

Fortunately for the Pats, Diggs seems to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, according to one Patriots insider.

The #Patriots did not place WR Stefon Diggs on the PUP list ahead of training camp. A remarkable recovery from a torn ACL,” reported Carlos A. Lopez on Twitter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Wow, this is amazing news for Stefon Diggs and the Patriots! A remarkable recovery from a torn ACL is truly inspiring. It speaks volumes about his dedication and resilience. Having him off the PUP list means he’s ready to go for training camp, which is huge for the team’s offense. Can’t wait to see him back in action!” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Still doesn’t mean he’s the same player,” another fan wrote.

“Comeback player of the year get ur ticket in now,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Diggs retains his explosiveness after undergoing such a brutal injury.
