President Barack Obama has never been shy about his opinions on sports. Now about halfway through this NFL season, he’s made a prediction on the matchup in Super Bowl 51, and who will win it. He’s also chimed in on who he thinks will win the NBA Title as well. (Spoiler: he’s going with chalk).

On “Sway in the Morning”, which is heard on SiriusXM Channel 45, the President made his picks and gave his thoughts.

“I’m going to go with the Warriors just because of [Kevin] Durant, that addition. I think they just have too much firepower. Although they just got spanked in their first game, so it will take a while to figure things out.”

President Obama doesn’t seem all that concerned about the Warriors’ 29-point loss to open their new season at home against the Spurs, does he?

And as for who he thinks will win Super Bowl 51, he once again went with the chalk pick.

“At this point, you’d have to put your money on [Tom] Brady again. I don’t see any real strong teams. Seattle and Patriots have a rematch [from the 2014 season]. That’s my call.”

So he’s hedging his bets, but still putting his money on the favorites. Good to see the President stepping out on a limb as he prepares to exit his office.
