The Las Vegas Raiders are doing whatever they have to in order to inject a winning culture into the organization. Las Vegas got the ball rolling last season when it welcomed Tom Brady into the organization as a part of the ownership group.

Brady was then instrumental in bringing another winner into the fold in legendary coach Pete Carroll, who was announced as the team’s new head coach earlier this offseason.

However, part of establishing a winning team means getting rid of players who aren’t the right fit for the franchise’s vision of the future. In line with that reality, the Raiders made a brutal cut on Saturday, according to one prominent league insider.

The #Raiders are releasing CB Jack Jones, sources say, after Las Vegas attempted to trade him. An intriguing option for a CB-needy team,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fans reacted to the cut on social media.

“Bad tackler, too interception hungry led to him getting beat on stop-n-go’s. Easy to read on film, hell of an athlete though. Maybe another team can fix his attitude towards the game and mistakes on the field,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Raiders are already obviously tanking for Arch Manning next year. Their team is gonna be absolutely horrible especially that secondary and linebacking crew. They still need also a running back a number one wide receiver ,guard, tackle on both sides as Kolton Miller is on the downside of his career yikes lol,” someone else wrote.

“Raiders please give Asante Samuel jr a Max contract plz,” added another person.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Raiders replace Jones’s production.
