The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t done much winning during the 2022 NFL season, but according to a new trademark filing, they expect to do a lot of it in the future.

You might know the Raiders for their infamous  “Just win, baby!” and “Commitment to Excellence” slogans, but trademark attorney Josh Gerben shared on Tuesday that the NFL team is looking to trademark the phrase “Win City” as a new slogan.

The slogan is a play on “Sin City,” a nickname for Las Vegas, which only recently became their new home after years in California.

Of course, for the slogan to catch on, the Raiders will have you, y’know, win a lot more. A 4-7 record and a head coach that many people think should be fired don’t exactly back up the phrase.

The Raiders came into the season with playoff aspirations after some huge free agent and trade acquisitions like Davonte Adams and Chandler Jones. Instead, the offense has struggled and the franchise has been mired in various controversies and off-field dramas.

As Larry Brown Sports noted, there’s a chance the US Patent Office could reject the trademark simply because, well, it’s not factually true. At least not right now.
