The Cincinnati Bengals are not exactly having the offseason that fans were hoping for. Rather than securing their star wide receiver Tee Higgins to an extension, the franchise opted to place the franchise tag on Higgins for the second straight year.
As for their other star receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, there are rumors that the two sides are far apart on the number for a potential long-term extension. As if those things weren’t enough, star defensive end Sam Hubbard announced his decision to retire from the NFL early on Wednesday, after playing his entire career in Cincinnati.
Earlier in the offseason, Alex Cappa, who started every game for the Bengals the last two seasons, was released by the team. It didn’t take long for Cappa to find a home elsewhere, according to one prominent league insider.
“Raiders are signing former Bengals guard Alex Cappa to a two-year, $11.2 million deal that includes $5.5 million fully guaranteed at signing,” announced ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

“He wasn’t unemployed for long,” added one fan.
“Raiders making moves.. they’re trying to build this thing quick,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how Cappa does with the Las Vegas Raiders.
