The Baltimore Ravens were hampered by injuries throughout the majority of the 2021 NFL season, losing key players like Lamar Jackson down the stretch of the season, which resulted in the team missing the playoffs.

This was the first time that the Ravens had missed the playoffs since the 2017 season, and the team is looking to get back to the postseason next year.

It is clear that depth became an issue for the Ravens, especially within the secondary where they visibly struggled due to injuries to key players like Marlon Humphries and Marcus Peters, who missed multiple games throughout the year. The team made a move on Tuesday that should assure they will be loaded, regardless of injuries at the cornerback position this season.

Baltimore has signed veteran cornerback Kyle Fuller to a one-year contract. It will be a homecoming for Fuller, who grew up in Baltimore alongside brother Kendall Fuller, who currently plays for the Washington Commanders.

The best stint of Fuller’s seven-year career was with the Chicago Bears, where he made two Pro Bowl appearances as well as an All-Pro team in his six years with the franchise.

He played with the Denver Broncos last season, where he started in 10 games. It was certainly a down year for the corner, who was benched for six games in favor of younger options.

A new start in his hometown may be exactly what Fuller needs to revive his once very promising career. He will be surrounded by an excellent defense that can certainly aid him in accomplishing that.
