The Baltimore Ravens have not had the sort of season they were expected to. Many thought the Ravens would come out of the gates surging behind a hungry Lamar Jackson after being snubbed for the MVP award a season ago. Instead, Baltimore started the season 1-5.
The Ravens and Jackson were able to overcome their early struggle to climb back to the top of the AFC North standings, but have now found their playoff hopes on life support. A loss to the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night would eliminate Baltimore from playoff contention.
Unfortunately, it’s looking as if Jackson is trending in the wrong direction in terms of his availabillity for the massive game, according to one prominent league insider.
“Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is listed as doubtful for Saturday night’s game at Green Bay. If Jackson cannot play, Ravens QB Tyler Huntley would start,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Doubtful is NFL code for ‘see you next week,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Listing Lamar as doubtful is just softening the blow for the fanbase. Huntley starting at Lambeau is a scheduled loss. You don’t beat Green Bay on the road with a backup QB who has a limited ceiling. The Ravens are about to get exposed without their bailout card,” someone else added.
“From MVP watch to Huntley hour. That’s a swing,” another person added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Ravens’ offense changes if Jackson isn’t able to give it a go.
