The Baltimore Ravens have looked shaky at best without their star quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has missed the last three games for the Ravens while dealing with a knee injury.

Jackson has not practiced since suffering the injury, so it is to nobody’s surprise that the Ravens have made the decision that he will be inactive for the team’s upcoming game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Jackson’s original injury timeline suggested that he could miss up to three weeks with his strained PCL injury.

It has now been over three weeks since he suffered the initial injury, and many Ravens fans are asking questions regarding when he may potentially return and what the hold-up is in his recovery process.

“What’s going on with Lamar Jackson,” tweeted Theo Dorsey of ESPN West Palm.

“It’s a fair question to wonder if we’re going to see Lamar Jackson again this season,” tweeted Matt Verderame of Fansided.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh discussed the situation on Friday, saying that Jackson is “progressing well” but that it is a “fair assumption” that backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will start on Sunday.

It is unclear exactly when Jackson will be back, but the elephant in the room is Jackson’s upcoming contract situation with the Ravens at the end of this NFL season.

Jackson is set to become a free agent after rejecting a contract extension back in September. He could certainly be sitting out to be sure that he won’t get reinjured and jeopardize his upcoming contract negotiations, which may cost the Ravens this year.
