‘Tis the season, or at least was. Christmas has come and gone, and we’ll have to wait another year before things get merry again. Around the world, gifts were given, both brilliant and probably obscure, and the NFL appears to be no stranger either.
The Baltimore Ravens were one known team that participated in a gift exchange. Their tight ends passed gifts amongst each other. Star tight end and multi-time NFL Pro Bowler Mark Andrews revealed his gift. Let’s just say… it is very odd and very obscure.
Baltimore Beatdown’s managing editor Kyle Phoenix Barber tweeted, “Ravens tight ends did a gift exchange. Mark Andrews received a samurai sword. Said he keeps it in the kitchen. ‘Just in case.'”

“I got a samurai sword. It was pretty cool,” Andrews told reporters. One reporter asked him where he’d hang such a thing. Good question, really. Andrews responded, “You know, I’m gonna hang it up. I have it on my kitchen counter, just in case. Just in case someone wants to go over there.”
Just in case… what, Mark?
Andrews revealed a team’s GA bought and gave the sword to him for Christmas.
Odd Christmas gifts are a legit phenomenon, of course. There are whole shops dedicated. So, not surprising, but you’d love to know… Where did the samurai sword come from?
