The Baltimore Ravens offseason took an ugly turn after the team’s long-term kicker, Justin Tucker, found himself at the center of multiple disturbing allegations. 16 separate massage therapists have accused Tucker of sexual misconduct.
“I think we’re fortunate that the league is doing an investigation,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said at the NFL scouting combine on Tuesday, according to ESPN. “We’ll wait as patiently as we can for as much information as we can, and we’ll make our decisions based on that.”
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh also touched on the allegations.
“That’s what we’re waiting to try to do is reconcile it. That’s what the process is for. That’s why you’ve got to come to an understanding if you can, about what happened.
“We’ve all got questions, but nobody knows exactly what happened. So, let’s see where the review takes us.”
It appears that the Ravens have decided how to proceed when it comes to Tucker, and the franchise is electing to await more information.
“There are no absolutes,” DeCosta said. “In this case, we’re still awaiting as much information as possible.”
However, DeCosta made it known that he and Tucker have indeed spoken since the allegations were made public.
“I’m going to keep those comments to myself … which I think is probably the smart thing to do, but at some point, we did meet, and that’s what I’m going to say about that now.”
It’ll be interesting to see how the situation plays out.
