Despite not being on an NFL team, Greg Hardy still found a way to make headlines. The only problem is, the defensive end made them Monday for the wrong reasons.

According to various reports, former Panthers and Cowboys defensive lineman was arrested Sunday for drug possession. NBC 5 in Dallas first reported Hardy’s most recent arrest.

Hardy, 28, was first arrested back on May 13th, 2014 for assault and communicating threats. That case was eventually dismissed under less than clear circumstances, and Hardy was allowed to resume his playing career.

This season however, Hardy wasn’t able to land a contract and eventually landed in jail. NBC 5 reported Hardy was arrested in Richardson, a suburb of Dallas, and was taken to the city jail. Though initial reports were thin on detail,

According to TMZ Sports, Hardy was arrested for possession of cocaine early Monday instead of Sunday. Hardy reportedly had less than a gram of the drug on him at the time and the bail was set at $5,000.

While news slowly begins to circulate, here’s a quick sample of the reaction on Twitter to Hardy’s most recent run in with the law.
