Ric Flair

Multiple-time wrestling champion and WWE legend Ric Flair visited Atlanta Falcons training camp on Tuesday and WOO-boy was it exciting.

Flair was at camp as the special guest of Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones. The 67-year-old sung Jones praises, while promptly throwing a nice diss at Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman.

“This is the Nature Boy, Ric Flair at Falcons training camp with my main man, my brother, Julio Jones – the greatest wide receiver in the NFL. That’s right, Josh Norman, the best. Nobody catches up to Julio Jones. WOOO! Go Falcons, go Julio! WOO!”

To be fair to Norman, Jones has elite speed and is among the fastest wide receivers in the league. He’s not exactly a turtle.

Flair continued to fire up the Falcons, giving a pep speech before breaking the huddle with a WOOO!

Now, like myself, you might be wondering why Ric Flair is attending Atlanta’s training camp. Well, Flair told ESPN after meeting Jones, he’s now a Falcons fan. That’s funny, because two years ago, he talked about being a Panthers fan, and also spoke to the 49ers before a playoff game with the Panthers. Seems like Flair’s really just a fan of himself.

The retired wrestler was complimentary of Jones as a person.

“I think Julio is one of the most wonderful, most polite, most articulate guys I’ve ever met. From texting and talking and just being so kind to people. He doesn’t have to be, but he’s such a quality guy. He’s first class.”

This is a friendship I can get behind. With Jones’ speed and Flair’s “WOO” battle cry, the duo are a force to be reckoned with. WOOOO.
