We’ve seen NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski involved with a lot of projects outside football, from WWE to movies to NFT collectibles to cruises and beach parties. And while Gronkowski hasn’t yet made a decision on returning to the NFL in 2022, he will be throwing another beach party in conjunction with Medium Rare, the events company that hosted his first one around Super Bowl LIV in Miami in 2020. (They’re also known for the Shaq’s Fun House Super Bowl party, the SI Awards, Guy Fieri’s Restaurant Reboot, and more.) It is interesting to see more of these kinds of events built around celebrity athletes, and to see more events starting to be built around the NFL Draft. And that makes particular sense for this year’s draft: fans often travel to the draft in general (as those having bachelorette parties in Nashville on draft weekend in 2019 found out to their dismay), but that’s probably going to be even more of a pronounced effect with it being held in Vegas. And Vegas does feel like a good fit for a Gronk Beach. We’ll see how this one goes for Gronkowski and Medium Rare.
