Legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski retired from the NFL following the 2021-22 season, but that hasn’t stopped all sorts of speculation that the former star could be looking to unretire, even though he’s continually insisted that he’s done playing. But his latest career move may have finally put all that speculation to rest.

On Saturday night, Fox announced that Gronkowski would be joining its NFL coverage on Sundays as part of the network’s Fox NFL Kickoff and Fox NFL Sunday shows throughout the season.

“Welcome back to the team, @RobGronkowski! Gronk will be kickin’ it with the crew throughout the season on FOX NFL KICKOFF and FOX NFL SUNDAY,” Fox announced on Twitter.

Gronk himself had a little fun with the big career update, announcing the news on his Twitter account while also teasing fans a little bit after all the speculation about his potential return.

“I’m back!!! See you Sunday!” Gronk Tweeted on Saturday night.

Even though Gronk won’t be back on the field, it’s still good to see him involved in the game in some capacity. And the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

While many seem a little disappointed that his return to the game won’t be on the field, it will undoubtedly be nice to see him involved with the NFL once again.
