It has been exactly six months to the day since former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski decided to retire for the second time from the NFL. However, a tweet from Gronkowski on Wednesday has many speculating that the legendary tight end could be planning another return to the league in the near future.

Gronkowski took to social media to relay a very short message to his fans on how he is feeling six months after his latest retirement.

“I’m kinda bored…” tweeted Gronkowski.

This tweet was met with many around the NFL world speculating that Gronkowski is potentially interested in returning to play in the NFL.

Is Gronk ready for a comeback just in time for the post-season?” tweeted NFL insider Dov Kleiman.

Cue Buccaneers fans overreacting and freaking out in 3..2..oh, too late,” tweeted Drew Garabo of 102.5 FM in Tampa.

“Interesting time to be bored, I guess,” tweeted Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer.

“Gronk comeback tour coming soon,” tweeted Barstool Sportsbook.

It may be a bit of a stretch for people to assume that this means that Gronkowski is planning an NFL return, but it is quite strange for him to tweet out this simple message just weeks before the start of the NFL postseason.

If he were to decide to potentially return to the NFL, New England and Tampa Bay would likely be atop the most likely teams to land him.

This could simply just be Rob Gronkowski getting the hopes of fans up for no reason, but it appears very clear that there is still interest for him around the NFL world to return to the game of football.
