Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have been through a lot together. The duo, who won four Super Bowls together and holds the record for most postseason touchdowns between a quarterback and receiver, know each other pretty well at this point.
It’s been an interesting year for Brady. After infamously retiring and then un-retiring, Brady’s marriage to Gisele Bündchen fell apart and ended in divorce. The football season was a struggle for him and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and even though they made the playoffs, the quarterback ended the year with a losing record for the first time in his Hall of Fame career.
Meanwhile, Gronk is living the high life in retirement and seems pretty content to just enjoy himself. But that doesn’t mean he’s not concerned for his former teammate and lifelong friend.
“As a friend and a teammate of Tom’s through my whole career of 11 years, you just always send your support and love to him,” the retired tight end told Page Six. “Even when I’m not playing with him, [I] love to see him be successful.
“His resume, his discipline is second to none. He’s just such a great teammate. You want to see nothing but success for him.”
Even if Brady’s personal life is a mess and his professional career is winding down, it looks like he’ll always have a friend in Gronk.
